If not now... When???

I wanted to digress slightly from talk about our training, bikes, routes etc. to a more personal note.

We are doing this ride in memory of my brother Bob (see "why we're riding"). Nick only met his uncle Bob one time when he was very young. He doesn't really remember it at all but through this event he is learning more about his uncle and just what a special person he was. Seeing pictures of his cousins, the anticipation of meeting them for the first time when we go through Colorado and perhaps more than anything he is learning that there is more to life than video games and "stuff".

His friends at school ask him about the ride...how long will it take? Where will you sleep? How far will you ride each day? and many more questions that only a 12 or 13 year old child could ever think of. All of the curiosity about the ride is showing Nick just how special this event is going to be.

My nephew Travis shared some photos of his family and some of Bob that I draw such strength from. Bob would be so proud of his sons Travis and Nathan and his daughter, Chelsey.

I hope this website and journey will in some small way encourage people to step out in faith that they can accomplish whatever they set their mind and heart to. Don't put it off for another day...we never know how many days we have. Explore your heart, formulate your plan and go for it!

If not now...When???

We Love and miss you Bob!
